Backing
Up Part 2
Different Types of Media for Backing Up
Floppy Disk:
All computers have floppy disks. They hold only about 1.5 MB
(megabytes), which is a very small amount. This will hold quite a few
documents, but most pictures and music files will be too big.

Zip Disk:
Many people have Zip Disk Drives, and even more businesses have at least
one. Zip Disks hold either 100 or 250 MB, which is rather a lot. The
disks are expensive at $10 or $15, and while many people have them, not
everyone does.

CD
Recordable\Re-Writable Discs:
CD Recorders have become quite popular, and are reasonably priced. Each
disc can hold 650-700 MB. They are a little more complicated to use, but
everyone has a CD player, so you can share your files with anyone that
has a PC. CD Recordable discs can only be recorded once, but they can
cost as little as $.40 a piece. CD Re-Writable discs area little more
expensive, but they can be used over and over. CD Burners can use either
type of disc.
